hiiiiiiii darryl....
had doubt with creation of guest ftp users.....in solaris...i need step by step procedure in a simple manner so that i can access...and follow the procedure...
and one more query....can you please answer for this question???
does guest users should have username and password???
i hope no for this...question...because guest user in the sense he should have permissions to enter into an account without any username and password..
but in docs.sun.com i read that guest user sholud need a username and password....can u please explain me in brief..

The following is the doc: downloaded from docs.sun.com
Guest users also need accounts to log in to the FTP server. Each guest account is set up with a user name and password. Functioning login shells are not assigned to guests to prevent users from establishing terminal sessions. At login, the FTP server performs a chroot(2) operation to restrict a guest's view of the server's disk structure.

hiiiiii Darryl...
Had a doubt with DNS(Domain Naming Service)
..I configured primary(master)DNS in a system and secondary(slave)DNS in other system and Forwarders And Cache DNS in another system...and by the way my domain name is www.biadmin.com.
..when i dig my doamin from a client as usual ill be getting IP address of Forwarders & Cache Dns...and in forwarders ill be getting masters ip address..because master is up...when i stop services in maste(i.e) when i disable "svcadm disable dns/server" this service then automatically my slave server is being up..thats all fine and i can see ip address of slave in forwarders..
my doubt is that if my HDD:(hard disk) of master server is destroyed without having any backup and if i lost whole data..when i dig from client it showing ip address of forwarders but it is showing server fail...
can u please explain in brief how this works in real scienario? by giving a real time example..
