Tuesday July 13, 2004 .. and perhaps more relevant to Bryan's rant.. .. it appears that MIT's mechanical engineering department is now teaching a "Software Engineering" course.. Then again, Back In The Day, the EECS department's software engineering course, 6.170 was notable as a high stress exercise in sleep deprivation, particularly if you didn't choose your project teams carefully and ended up being the one person who made things work.
