Sophia Li's Weblog

Hello, World!
Hi, there. This is Sophia Li from Sun China. I've been a software engineer in Solaris x86 Group for 2 years working on driver development. This is an exciting moment for me to start my first journey in a blog world, especially in a technical blog world. It is really a big trial for me, who doesn't always speak much. But the chance is that I can speak to the world, so why not do it:)

In the past two years, I mainly worked with my team to develop the AGPgart driver, which supplies support for the Xorg server system under Solaris. The happinest thing is that the work has been integrated into Solaris just a few days before the Opening Day and thus will be launched together with OpenSolaris. I would say the work is far from completed, since the past effort focused more on framework and the chipsets supported by the driver are limited. But OpenSolaris will be able to help on this, isn't it?

Before I joined Sun, I was just graduated from university. Sun helps me grow. There are so many experienced engineers to work with, so much knowledge and information to learn, so many challenges to meet in Sun. I enjoy working with Sun and I hope this weblog will be a good record of my life in Sun.
