Aaaaarrrrghhh!!

I worked for about 2-3 hours (maybe more) to install Solaris on one Computer in my college. And there were some issues while I was at it.
Firstly, the Solaris Express Developer Installation (Interactive) which is the new "good looking" GUI installer didn't start up. I know it requires 768 mb of RAM and I knew that the computer had 768 mb RAM. But what I didnt know was that it actually requires EXACTLY or atleast 768 mb RAM. The installer gleefully terminated even before it actually started saying that the computer had 759 mb of RAM and therefore I will need to use the text-mode installer. Secondly, it just refused to recognize the Windows XP Professional partition (I was using b77 of the community edition, later on I tried with Developer edition and it worked). And finally, I did not succeed. Why? cause the installation was taking place at the rate of 1% every 2-3 minutes and at 30 odd percent I really had smoke coming out of my two ears and that was IT. I powered down the system. And after installing windows twice on that system and playing a little with Solaris I was really tired. An off day, but I am sure id get it right the next time.
By the way, OpenOffice.org 2.4 Developer Snapshot is out. Get it here.
