Just upgraded to a Canon 30D and I am suitably impressed. Compared to my old digital rebel (300D), the 30D appears vastly superior. I'm not sure I can claim that my photographic skills are such that the Rebel was a limiting factor. However, interacting with the 30D is a far more pleasant experience -- the 2.5in LCD is stunning, the startup time virtually instantaneous (compared to the couple of seconds for the rebel), the increased buffer size is useful, which, coupled with the vastly increased write speed to CF (even with my Ultra II CF, the write speed on the rebel was pretty low) means it is difficult to be stalled waiting for shots to drain to the CF.

I've also been experimenting with FEC (flash exposure control) and fill flash effects -- something not possible on the rebel, at least with the pop-up flash or my speedlite 420.

I will try and post a couple of shots over the weekend.
