You know, I don't officially work for Sun anymore. So, I'm surprised to find my blog still active! On the flip side, I am doing contract work now, so I think it all comes full circle!
Communication is an art. The top five things I've learned about communicating:
- Most people don't know how to do it.
- Most people think communication is EASY, yet refuse to acknowledge they either can't communicate, or could learn to do so better.
- Communication is about adapting to the other person's speaking & listening style.
- Written communication is both a Talent AND a Skill
- Communication is about listening, reading between the lines and learning to recognize both verbal and non verbal cues.
