I am a writer.
Regardless of what I do for Sun (and it's NOT technical writing, user manuals, blah), I am a writer, creative fiction and professional non-fiction. I write sales and marketing materials (no comments on how that can be considered fiction
), technical white papers (yes, I do the research and the writing), etc. I also do a ton of sales engineering work, but I take more delight and pride in pulling together documentation to help describe our services for our customers and potential customers. It's a lost art in the industry. Hell, it's a lost art in society I think.
So, pet peeves for the day.
I'm also still trying to figure out how my "discuss" email turned into a "sure you take that on we'll love you for it"...Communication is fast becoming a lost art.
PS - For the record, I didn't know what Project Blackbox was until I went to go look it up today. All the blog spam on the internal network was driving me insane. But now, I want one for the house LOL. I know, overkill. But it's a gadget!! Albeit, a very BIG gadget. Can't wait to see where it shows up and I agree with Jonathan, the Mars idea is the best.

- The word is "use". NOT utilize. My students get automatic "F's" on anything that comes across my desk when I'm teaching at the local colleges.
- prior to - it's before
