So I have an observation, Glasgow is San Francisco, yes honestly !!! I spent a few days working there last week and got up early on the Friday to get a coffee, move the car and start work. So had a few streets to walk, and started to think they look like blocks, all straight roads, intersecting each other and going up and down hills, with the sun shining in the distance. Call me mad, but this just so reminded me of San Francisco, the streets, the bustle, and the layout, maybe just madness.

I spent the morning talking to the Commercial  Director at King of Shaves, a more suitable title is community manager, as Tim is doing a great job of promoting the new Azor razor in the marketplace and we discussed how to use social media to help push that message out, enable the users to interact with the organisation and grow the user base, me its about pushing Startup Essentials, Tim its Azor razors, totally different but using the same tools and theme, to enable us to gain a larger outreach. If you want to see me shaving in action, then blogging, go here.

Thus, interesting how the world is changing and Im always interested in understanding Enterprises, or large organisations useage of new media/tools to interact with their audience.

So drop me a vote on is Glasgow, like San Francisco ?

Do I know look like Tom Cruise ?

Comments:

Glasgow is one of the few (perhaps the only) city in the UK based on a grid system. As for being like San Francisco, the weather is probably the same, but that's about as far as it goes

Was in San Francisco last week for one day. It was pouring with rain and as I walked around the central parts I thought this is just like Glasgow. If glasgow had kept the trams and trolley buses the similarity would have been even greater.

I`m new to Glasgow, but the moment I saw those grid roads with downward layout at the Buchanan street I felt like I was in S.F.Co. with lesser sunshine !
