Techonomy 2009 31 March 2009

Techonomy delves into the business and economy behind the Web 2.0 technological revolution.

Why: There must be thousands if not tens of thousands Web 2.0 startups on the Internet today. Many of these companies started with an interesting idea and implemented it based on a revenue share or advertisement business model. How many of these can survive? Examining the Web 1.0 "revolution" in 1999-2000, there was only one survivor of the advert business model. This doesn't bode well for all of these Web 2.0 entrepreneurs or their investors.

Techonomy is addressing the upcoming business models and investigating how these Web 2.0 startups are turning into real companies that drive an economy - a new economy that might change how people do business.
On Stage:

6 new companies will present their new product for the first time.

Prizes will be presented by Oasis PR and Sun Startup Essentials.
