the Next Web - Day One

So we have the Next Web day one, and what a rollercoaster day with beautiful sunshine and up to a 1000 people all drinking coffee, eating biscuits and chilling out for one of the most relaxed conferences of the year. So why is Sun here ? What does Sun want to do in the whole Web 2.0 space ?
Simple
Help support startups, across Europe and give them the Support they need to grow and scale quickly and we do this by being present at these events to talk about what we can do, how we can help and get new companies to meet the ones we already deal with, such as Tweetmeme and Doodle. So I had the pleasure of hosting the two Rising Sun Startup Rally sessions, with 12 great startups presenting for 5 minutes on what they do, how they do it and how they make money, and what still amazes me is where are all these companies coming from, more and more weekly appearing with some creative problem solving ideas and focused on earning revenue from day one, which is a key change from last year.
Also some brilliant speakers and panels, helping educate the audience in what they have learnt in their experiences and sharing them with all, what Ive enjoyed is the openess of the content and speakers dialogue, just people saying it as it is.
So if you are the the Next Web come and say hi to the Sun team at the stand, you cant miss us.
Dont forget as well, spotlight your startup come and do your 1 minute elevator pitch at the Sun Startup Essentials stand then see it live on this blog, and being retweeted via tweetmeme, you cant miss our stand its the bright one like my shirts.
