Zilok – Rent anything online
Zilok is an online peer-to-peer rental marketplace where
people can rent anything to or from anyone.
DIY tools, sewing machines, cameras, computers, sports
equipment, lawn mowers, game consoles, party furniture, handbags, evening
dresses, bicycles, costumes, projectors, push-chairs, holiday cottages, camping
tents… you can rent it all online.
The service, open both to individuals and businesses, allows members to offer
items for rent, with specific rental agreements to suit their needs.
The search engine is location-centric allowing
users to find items near them, then filter their search per price, distance or
even evaluations from other members.

Although rental items are visible to all users, owners
are not obliged to rent their items out to just anyone who asks for them.
Booking requests may be accepted or declined, for any reason, or no reason at
all.
Rental transactions usually happen face to face,
allowing owners to check renter’s identity and collect deposits, although some
rental businesses ship across the country.
Zilok's commission is charged on the site straight from the renter, as a retainer
fee that confirms their commitment to the transaction.
The company was founded 2 years ago in Belgium, and is now
active in 5 countries: France, Belgium, USA, Netherlands and the UK. Since its
debut in the UK last summer, Zilok has been featured in the Financial times,
the Sunday Telegraph, the Times, the Guardian, BBC radio2 and the local press
across the country.
If you have something you don’t always use laying around, post it on Zilok and start cashing in!
