Server Virtualization in Virtual Reality
Did I really do this? It seems I have. I'm signed up to give a presentation on Virtualization in Second Life. Server Virtualization in Virtual Reality! My mind spins at the possibilities. The virtual event is scheduled to take place at the Von Neumann Convention Center on Dr. Dobbs Island on Thursday at 3 pm Second Life Time (which, as I understand it, is the same as Pacific Time). Today Jessica from Sun came over and helped me set up my "avatar" so that I'm wearing all the right virtual clothes, and can get around. I even learned how to fly (everyone in Second Life can fly!). I have no idea how this will go, so it would be great to see some friendly faces (even in avatar form) at the event. Come on down and join in the fun.
