xVM Server Launch Demo

Well, I survived launch day.  Although I've made a resolution to never again sign up to do four live demos in a single event, everything turned out great.  My sincere thanks go out to Leon, Joost, Mark, Markus and Angel for their help setting up the demos.  Outstanding job guys.

For anyone who didn't tune into the web cast, here's a replay of the first demo of the day: xVM Server.

My only serious regret after watching that clip? I really should'a gotten a fresh haircut this weekend. :-) I'll post the rest of the demo videos here over the next few days. Thanks everyone who tuned it to the live webcast. I heard we had over 500 people on the live webchat and everyone had a great time!

Comments:

Uhm, this win2008 was it running utilizing HyperV PV stuff on xvm server?
Would be nice to know how to install a Win2008 as paravirtual machine.

Steve,

There were about 800 or so people watching the webcast live.

Also, I know a few people who would be glad to have that much hair.

@Florian we'll be providing our own Windows PV drivers as part of the xVM Server package.

after the initial installation can I manage the server locally? Is there a web browser embedded into the server installation? or do I need to manage it from another computer on the network?

@firefly if you have a keyboard and monitor on the system then you can run the UI locally on the system. Otherwise you can admin it remotely.

@steve Thanks for the quick reply. What about back up? is this possible for me to back up the full image to CD/DVD over the local/remote UI?
