Episode Overview

What makes Drupad Special?

Downloaded over 600,000 times, and deployed on thousands and thousands of sites, Drupal, the PHP based, Free and Open Source content management system is really catching on. Learn what you need to deploy, customize and extend core Drupal functionality - without a lot of headaches. It's rock solid on PostgreSQL and MySQL databases and has a NetBeans plugin for PHP development.

I understand that some folks even call it an application framework...but I'll let you be the judge.

Our gadget this week is pretty funny. For those of you that can't seem to make it out of bed in the morning take a look at the wacky alarm clock with wheels that sounds like R2D2. Totally obnoxious but effective.

Next up, hear from campus representative, Teera Kanokkanjanarat about the latest technology developments at Simon Frasier University, British Columbia.
