IBM released the 64-bit version of WebSphere Application Server V6.1 for Solaris 10 SPARC last week. Who would need the 64-bit JVM? If you need larger heap (>= 4GB), apps with large data sets, or higher precision for encryption/decryption, you would need this version. You will not go to 64-bit JVM to boost performance.
