Half empty or half full?

As expected (especially after loosing to Bangladesh), loosing to Sri Lanka followed! Here is my "half full" perspective:

People should refrain from giving the undue importance and also should realize that its just a game. As long as our mindset doesn't change cola companies, media outlets will show cricketers as heroes. I still remember Kapil's Boost ad which makes sense in hind sight "Boost is the secret of my energy". As you said, today's ads featuring cricketers are jokes. 3/4th or more of the fans will forget this loss by the time when the next series begins.

Hi Sivakanth Mundru: I totally agree with you! Yes, viewers should recognize that it is just a game -- not just when the team looses even the team wins! Avoid making heros/gods out of sports (or movies - especially in south India). Of course, public memory is very short -- be it in politics or cricket. When the next series starts folks will be ready with posters and "experts" would occupy TV time.

To see a brighter side of it, at least India's janta is back to work. Surely a great favor to India and its economy. :)

Has anyone ever heard of the story of a fox who went to eat grapes?
