SunGloss release 2.4.3 due next week
The day of release or 2.4.3 of SunGloss are closer and closer. Every second we are a second closer
This is another minor release, so do not expect any ground breaking changes.
We do not publish the changelist online yet, so here is a short summary (the description is copied from our problem tracking system, the rest are my comments, RFE stands for 'Request For Enhancement'):
- Bug: Some of the User Settings are broken
Selection of default product line, states, target language specified in user settings are applied as defaults in search window
- RFE: Add information and export feature to User Accessed Records
this change only affects administrator interface changes, it is now possible to see access records, filter by community, language and country.
- Must be possible to track and remove similar English terms
This one will affect the glossary itself. We worked on a application which searches for duplicates, for example with different case or some of the attributes. This -- again -- will be used only internally.
What is even more important is that we agreed on a process how we're going to tag the duplicates and avoid their usage in the future. I'll publish the process as soon as it is approved by terminologists
- RFE: Hide fields on Generate and Export Glossary screen
The fields category, part of speech and status in Generate and Export Glossary are by default hidden. They can be displayed by hitting 'Additional Settings' button.
- RFE: Display warning when users try export all English terms
This is workaround that should prevent anyone to export the whole glossary by mistake. We put it into place until some optimisation is made on the search of the terms, because a complete export from time to time causes problems in other areas
Besides these changes, I also added useful links page listing resources that might be of some interest. If you have some more, please drop me line
After the release 2.4.3 is out we'll start to plan the next one which is going to bring some more whistles and bells, so please, stay tuned
