I hate REINSTALLING!!!!

I hate reinstalling Windows!!!!! Man I don't know if everyone goes through these reinstall cycles but I have reinstalled my Laptop, my home PC, my Girlfriend's Sister's PC, my cousins PC all in the last week, I am so over it. Whether it's a virus, a trojan or just Windows being Windows it drives me nuts!!!! Install Windows, then all the updates, then the drivers and their updates, then the applications and then the games... man it's just too hard. No wonder Windows PC support is so expensive. Like PC's are soo cheap these days, like you can get a desktop for $900, but now desktop PC's have become soooo complex that it takes time and money to keep them going. It frustrates me so much when I hear people constantly complaining about their PC's but people keep deploying them cause it's too hard not too. Luckily this trend is changing and more and more large corporations are looking at Thin Client as a subsitute as the figures just make sense. My other PC which has Solaris 10 on it has been up and running for almost 2 weeks without any incident. I basically now do everything on this, my email/calendar, web browsing, basically everything apart from playing those really good 3D Games like Call Of Duty 2 (which is excellent) and my all time favourites Warhammer 40K and Fifa 2006. I even got Mplayer with XVID codecs installed so I now watch movies on my S10 box. I plan to put SUnray server on it and give my parents access to a Sun Ray and my brother access to one as well, at least it would save me time in support!!! If only I could give my whole family Sun Ray's then I wouldnt need to go a visit them as I could just do remote support. Oh YEAH and I so love Warhammer 40K, I have been tinkering with the Winter Assault Expansion Pack and have almost finished the Order missions. It's soo much fun. Anyways back to work, there is soo much buzz about Secure Global Desktop and Sun Ray that we are flat out, so it's bye to all and catch you all later.
