Another tax year behind us

'finished up a team meeting just before 9:00 pm tonight.
Time to assemble the tax forms, sign them, then write the checks to the Internal Revenue Service and the California Franchise Tax Board, and head out the door to the Palo Alto Post Office. Yes, that was the Palo Alto Post Office, not my local Mountain View Post Office. There's something about the physical act of mailing my tax forms, albeit, I usually don't wait until 9:25 pm the night they are due.
All day long I listened to radio reports about the number of tax filers using electronic filing this year, and the number of tax payers getting refunds. We didn't fit into either category this year.
