Monday May 07, 2007
There's a new set of SOA Documentation that is available as part of the Netbeans 6.0 Preview Release at NetBeans 6.0 Preview, SOA Documentation. The doc set includes user guides and tutorials in the following categories:
- Composite Applications
- BPEL ("Business Process Execution Language")
- WSDL Editor
- XML Schema Tools
- XSLT Designer
- Intelligent Event Processing
- Identity
- Binding Component and Service Engine Tutorials
- Binding Component User's Guides
- Service Engines User's Guides
This documentation release is another instance of successful global collaboration at Sun. The team included writers from the San Francisco Area, Monrovia (California), St. Petersberg and Bangalore. The final collaborative moments took place in Monrovia where the Monrovia team was joined for two weeks by Jagdish Kumar Vinjamuri from Bangalore. Jagdish worked with Kevin Hopke to install and test the samples for the various tutorials. Opportunities to work together like this help strengthen the team going forward.
Additional documentation for the runtime parts of SOA is found on the Open ESB website.
If you're at Java One over the next few days, you can pick up a CD with this release, including the docs.
