I saw a demo of the latest about-to-be-released version of Sun Installation Assistant (SIA) the other day, its an enhanced version of the existing tool which ships with many of our x64 systems and facilitates easy installation of Linux and associated drivers/option cards. The screenshots say it all - we will shortly be doing Windows too!![Read More]

My 2007 trackday season starts next week with a trip to Cadwell Park in Lincolnshire. Getting to this track takes ages, turn right at Lincoln and continue for 3,000 miles (OK, so it feels that far). They call this place the mini-Nurburgring, and trying to get some air in a car over 'The Mountain' is certainly exciting (yes, I mean leaving the ground - not easy in a car).

Apparently the world is coming to an end as we know it, so to compliment the gas guzzlers in my household I just bought a baby Panda. No, not the furry black and white kind.[Read More]
Its raining! Well, today is the first day it has rained here in my corner of blighty since the beginning of April. We've had sunny and dry weather since before Easter. Been cloudy and wet all day. Makes a nice change. Meanwhile the BBC website says it will be sunny all day. I think they trust computers too much - look out the window guys!
