Monday January 22, 2007 That we can have a 500+ people party done like this. There were two hours of talent show by employees, with 4 MCs that rival professional show hosts. The performance was thigh-slappingly humorous and stunningly talented at the same time. Every show was a surprise — at the side of the people you never knew, at the courage (that I lack) to go on stage and perform, and at the efforts that obviously put into the performance.
We have a big hall with no pillars interiorly. There is a stage with professional grade video, sound, and lighting systems. Performers have a back-stage to store props and to put on their elaborate costumes and make-ups. They wore wireless headsets for singing and speaking. The interior covered about 12 round tables with ample walking spaces in between.
And the foods! All 14 courses that include shrimp, chicken, beef, mutton, pork, fish, soup, vegetable, fried rice, noodle, dessert, and a cup of tea at the end. I found myself trying to have extra bites even way after I was full.
It is a successful party when people talk about how they will do better next time, or how should we do it more frequently.
