Hotel Toiletry

Check into any business hotel in Asia, you find a basketful of stuff in the bathroom: tooth brush, razor, comb, shower cap, etc. They are mostly cheap stuffs, but useful nevertheless.

In the USA, they are simply not there. I am talking about the same hotel chain: Hyatt, Marriott, Westin, etc.

I always bring my toiletry bag with me anyway. But this is a very curiously different custom.

Usually you can ask for these at the front desk.

I love the toiletries in Chinese hotels. I've finally gotten to the point where I count on them. At first I thought I was just lucky in hitting the few hotels that carried them but after staying in several different chains and several different locations, I realize now that they're standard equipment here. So I've started going on overnight trips without toiletries.
