We've had a burn warning going for some time - the grass is that California green, i.e., brown. A thunderstorm started about an hour ago. I'm surprised the cats and the Monster aren't in my lap.

One of the nice things about Oklahoma is the thunderstorms. I once had a summer job reloading a high-speed camera on top of an old air traffic control tower at Tinker AFB. I only got to work when it was raining - a postdoc was trying to gather data on OK lightning.

Speaking of which, I haven't seen any yet this year. On the positive side, I also haven't seen a funnel this year either.

Oh well, time to go sleep, gotta recharge the energy for meetings and soccer practice.
