The striker thinks the score was 6-5 and not a tie. The ref wasn't able to keep score due to the rain. I had thought we were winning (see Spring06: Second games was a tie). He has a convincing tally. Oh well, water under the bridge.
We convincingly lost the 3rd game. The kids have a habit of winning the first half and loosing the second half. Part of it is conditioning, but for the most part it is not playing positions. They run too much trying to mob the ball. I've been practicing them on a painted field. It is quartered and they have to stay in their zone.
We are in a tournament this weekend and I'm hoping for a good reinforcement on the positioning. Honestly, with this group of kids, we could win it all or lose it all. It all depends on how well they interact as a team. And how well the other teams do it. The Broken Arrow kids seem to get more discipline.
Anyway, here is a picture of the Monster in action - with a little editing to replace the ball with the Kanigix logo!
