So what did I order from NewEgg.com?

I'm building a new box. What did I order for it and what didn't I order for it?

I did order:

Note with NewEgg.com, Retail means it comes with all of the cables, etc. OEM means that it comes bare. And OpenBox means it is a return and may or may not have everything with it. I ordered the CPU to be OEM because I never seem to use the stock fans and everyone raves about Artic Silver versus the stock paste.

I didn't order any drives or a DVD. I've got plenty of drives, including 4 SATA 250G drives sitting idle. I prefer an external USB DVD drive. I also have a spare internal, but it is beige versus the black case.

I ordered the motherboard because it supports plenty of SATA drives. I actually paid more for a graphics card than I ever have in my life, but I spent a bit extra to get fanless. In all cases where I had a question of fit, I either knew from a prior install on a P180 or from review comments that I had room.

Finally, the external USB case is not for this project, it is to house a notebook drive which is 12mm instead of 9.5mm. It is really difficult to find this online as most extrernal enclosures advertise that they will hold any notebook drive (i.e., 2.5"), but what they really mean is any with a width not exceeding 9.5mm.

Anyway, the gear is in transit and I can't wait to start rolling it out. Again, the intent of this project is to give me a quiet desktop, a gaming rig, and a test box for OpenSolaris (builds, NAS, etc).
