I prefer "Sun Cluster". Why? Because - that name exists for more than 8 years (maybe has/had its 10 years aniversity soon?) - is a recognized brand - does not limit through the name to a platform (yes, Solaris is the best platform - but why rule out a Linux port by this name?) - customers know and recognize it - if its not broken - don't fix it!

Sun Cluster 1) fewer syllables In other words simpler is better. 2) established mindspace I was looking on docs.sun.com for the 3.2 release notes the other day, and couldn't find them until a colleague pointed out "Solaris Cluster" in the listing as well as Sun Cluster. I'm so set in my ways, that the Solaris Cluster entry didn't even register.

Because it's the opposite answer of what every commenter before me said.

Just kidding. While I like the sound of Solaris Cluster better, the answers provided above seem too solid. I'll have to be a lemur on this one and say Sun Cluster.
