GlassFish V2 and Sun Java System[TM] Application Server 9.1 Available for Download Today

Drumroll please: Yesterday, Sun announced the immediate availability of GlassFish V2 and its commercially supported counterpart, the Sun Java^TM System Application Server 9.1.

You can find out about all the cool new features of GlassFish v2 at the GlassFish v2 launch blogfest, so I won't repeat them all here.

Instead, I would like to highlight the user documentation, which provides comprehensive instructions for installing, setting up, and maintaining GlassFish V2 and Sun Java System Application Server 9.1.

In this documentation, you'll find detailed information about how to use new features of this release, such as:

• Java EE 5 platform support
• Web Services Interoperability Technologies (WSIT) support
• Java Business Integration (JBI) support
• Usage profiles
• In-memory replication for storing session state data, and for which new availability settings are provided
