My Thoughts on Things
OpenSolaris Starter Kit
A group of us have been working on a kit for students in countries with low bandwidth. At least that's how the project started out. We've made a few changes along the way...we're tackling the project in phases, we've expanded the scope to include anyone who wants to install on a laptop, and we've gone back and forth on exactly which distibutions to include. You can find the latest status here.

Interview with Adam Leventhal
Check out this interview of Adam Leventhal in Conduit, the Brown University Research and Alumni News Magazine. It's short and sweet. Check out page 34 here. Personally, I like the photo, but Adam tells me his mom doesn't.

Jim made me do it!
Hello world. Like the title says, Jim Grisanzio is looking
over my shoulder encouraging the reluctant Teresa to write her first
blog. I have been toying with the idea of blogging for months,
and he finally came into my office and made me do it! So here I
am.
But who am I? I am a program manager on the OpenSolaris team
focused on encouraging the adoption of OpenSolaris into computer
science curriculum at colleges and unversities around the globe.
I get to work with great folks like Patrick Finch, Joey Guo, and Michelle Olson, to name a
few (these are the bloggers of the bunch). I also try to
coordinate Solaris engineering's presence at conferences and other
events. My plan is to blog about university happenings,
conferences and such. Oh, and I am also a mom of four, yes
four kids, from 6 - 25 years old. I'm sure you will be hearing
more about them as time passes.
