eApps - Now Offering GlassFish Hosting

A while ago we had a thread on Where to Host Java Apps. Several people suggested using Virtual Private Servers (VPS) (Wikipedia) and mentioned that some vendors already supported GlassFish and others were getting ready to do so... and eApps just did that.

eApps's VPS solution uses Virtuzzo (from Parallels) and is described in detail here. The details for GlassFish Support and the pricing/features seem quite good. Check it out and post your experiences.

And, if let us know of other hosting solutions for GlassFish we will mention them here too.

Comments:

This is actually a great offer, a little low on the disk space considering the current price of a 1TB disk. Anyway I will still go for Amazon EC2 with FUSE S3 file system - they are also working hard on a real persistent back end for EC2, which I am sure will make EC2 the default choice for many.

Alternatively have a look at flexiscale (http://flexiscale.co.uk/) they offer cheap cloud computing with more features than EC2. It would be nice to see Sun enter this game (http://network.com/ is way to advanced and expensive for most of us). I would sure love to run my GF inside a Solaris zone, with ZFS and MySQL, running on some top notch Niagra2 chip.

I have been using eApps for a while now and I am really happy with them.
