Carla describes the GlassFish distribution license in her latest blog. In a nutshell, everything is intended to go into CDDL or ASL, but since the sources for some components are not yet at GlassFish, we use Sun's Binary License in some cases. |
Note that since many components are already fully CDDL, many binary components are already under that license, including many in the Maven Repository. Also, those interested should look for announcements for your favorite component; for example, we recently released the StAX Implementation.
