Another GlassFish-related announcement from Sun (PR): the Open ESB collection of projects are being aligned under the GlassFish umbrella. An evolutionary rather than a revolutionary move as pieces of OpenESB were already included in GF v2, but will encourage further synergies between the groups and artifacts. |
Expect bundles of OpenESB components with GF, as well as community and architectural interactions. A good example of the latter is Project Fuji where the ESB components are delivered as OSGi modules running on GlassFish v3.

Cool, SUN's GlassFish community is certainly a lot more "open" than OpenESB!
Now, it seems like OpenESB 2 was already deprecated by Fuji.
Is there any particular reason these "open source" communities exists is secrecy?
Not trying to be critical, actually promote everywhere I can. But, the secrecy keeps making me look bad.

Open ESB v2 is actually just gathering steam, it isn't deprecated by any means; another major release is around the corner and the core stack will be included in Java CAPS 6 with a stream of components slated for production release the rest of the year.
The Fuji project is a technology preview of the research we started, we put it out there as soon as we had something to show and discuss, precicely for the purpose of getting the community involved from the earliest stages. Feedback more than welcome, including how we can improve the community itself!
