I about freaked out reading this. Native RUBY support in Glassfish. Python even?
Woops... in reality Glassfish 3 supports JRuby and Jython. One letter makes a big difference!

Abstract
A description of the support for Scripting (or Dynamic) Languages in GlassFish v3 Prelude. The presentation will include Ruby/JRuby, Python/Jython and, time-permitting, Groovy. PHP will be covered in a future presentation as well as other languages like JavaScript/Phobos and Scala.

Its always a challenge to accurately and concisely describe the situation with these languages. If the implementation is complete (and the spec is reasonably complete), the implementation mechanism should be (mostly? often?) irrelevant, and it would be appropriate to talk about Ruby and Python (and PHP) rather than of their implementation (JRuby, Jython, Quercus/P8)...
Coming from a language/platform with a strong specification tradition (Java), I'm very comfortable with this approach. I think that is also the case for Python (see [1]), but Ruby seems less comfortable with that. And PHP seems even trickier.

Anyhow, I often write JRuby/Ruby, Jython/Python to avoid confusions, but sometimes I try to minimize the number of words...
