While not as much as in the spotlight as other future Java EE 6 technologies, JSR 322 "Java EE Connector Architecture 1.6" is also part of this forthcoming release and has been making substantial progress lately. The Connector 1.6 PR (Public Review) spec was published a couple of weeks ago and specification lead Sivakumar discusses Ease of Development (annotations, better defaults, etc.), JSR 303 (Bean Validation) integration, distribution of WorkManagers across VM boundaries, and Work processing hints (propagation of quality of service "hints"). |
