Like in previous months ([1], [2], [3], [4], [5]) GlassFish is doing very well in the May 2006 statistics in Java.Net: GlassFish is top in membership, accesses, and mail traffic, second in hits and two of its component projects (jaxb2-reflection and glassfish-corba) are numbers 1 and 3 in CVS access. Other projects in the community are also in different top 10 lists: Open-ESB, Blueprints, BPCatalog. |

First a clarification -- Sun is one of the sponsors of Java.Net but Java.Net is open to anybody and the large majority of the almost 3K projects at Java.Net are *not* related to Sun. It is true that many of the top projects are related to Sun - which may be a feature or a bug, depending on one's perspective - but there are a number of top-10 projects that are not.
Regarding "Sun folks" - I only have anecdotal data, but I believe in the majority of the cases, Sun employees are participating at Java.Net in support of their daily jobs (although many of us do it in our "free" time). I know a number of exceptions, but those are the minority.
