Today Sun announced that we will be renaming our distribution of the GlassFish AppServer from "Sun Java System Application Server" to "Sun GlassFish Enterprise Server" to more clearly articulate its relationship with GlassFish. |
I believe the new name will not kick in formally until the next release, which would be GF v2.1. Post any questions about the change as comments to this entry and we will address them.
Makes sense. When is 2.1 supposed to be released?

While you're at it, could you also replace the download-now-jpeg-buttons und glassfish.dev.java.net with png's or something? The compression artifacts really make them ugly, my eyes hurt each time i have to download glassfish... ;-)

Fame at last!
Weird that they drop 'Java' from a Java appservers name, but keep on calling GNOME 'Java Desktop System' and their (C) Directory Server 'Java System Directory Server'.

Good job!
Would this be a good time to move GlassFish from dev.java.net to a platform that doesn't make a horrible first impression through an unnecessarily slow and clunky interface?
