WEBDAV Support in GlassFish v3 Prelude
  Posted by pelegri in GlassFish

ALT DESCR

WebDAV (Website, RFC 2518 RFC 4918, Wikipedia) is a set of HTTP extensions to edit and manage files on shared servers. WebDAV has been functional on GlassFish Server since 2006 ([1]) but it will be Formally Supported starting with GlassFish v3 Prelude.

Shing Wai's has an Introduction to WebDAV Support where he explains configuration, briefly describes the commands and includes instructions for testing with different clients, including a simple Ruby-based test client.

Check Shing Wai's entry for details; if you have questions, follow-up with Shing Wai's entry, or directly at the WebTier alias for GlassFish Server.

Comments:

RFC 2518 has been obsoleted by RFC 4918 in June 2007. Are you implementing WebDAV level 3, as defined in http://greenbytes.de/tech/webdav/rfc4918.html#rfc.section.F?

We are in WEBDAV level 2.

Ok, understood.

But even then, it would be great if you would point people to the current spec, not the obsoleted one (containing quite a number of bugs).
