Jonathan wrote a nice piece a couple of months ago entitled What Brand Means. That made me consider what would I want the GlassFish "Brand" to represent; my goal would simply be Technical Excellence In features like Metro, JAXB, Grizzly, Performance, Admin console, GFv3, profiles, and more our goal has been to have the best implementations - among Open Source and Commercial AppServers. And when necessary, like with Woodstox, we have not hesitated to Adopt Outside Implementations. Are we achieving my goal? I think we have made very good progress in the last year but only the users can decide. |
