ZDNet - GlassFish Validating Sun's Open Source Strategy
  Posted by pelegri in GlassFish

HeadShot of Jonathan Schwartz

ZDNet's Dana Blankenhorn asks in his blog Will Glassfish Validate Schwartz’ Open Source Strategy?

As I write the blog, the instant poll only has 14 votes but it shows:

•  YES - 64%
•  Too early to tell - 29%
•  NO - 7%

So far, so good!

Comments:

It is now up to [76/20/4] with 85 votes. All these informal polls are not very scientific and depend on who finds out about the poll and who bothers to vote. This means that a positive audience (like TheAquarium) is likely to increase the number of YES, but, still, NO votes cannot be removed, and 4% of 85 is about 3 NO votes, so that is pretty good. - eduard/o

Only commercial viability can validate your Open Source Strategy, I guess. I didn't vote, but I wrote an Open Source Business model based on Franchising just for you, have a look!
