Kohsuke and Rama needed a way to reliably shutdown a GlassFish instance for a Hudson plugin, something akin to the SHUTDOWN Facility in Tomcat. Turns out it can be done using JMX (don't fear, it requires admin password!) and Kohsuke has documented it in his blog. Check out the code at Kohsuke's Shutting down GlassFish remotely; that should make sure the GlassFish process does not come back to haunt you! Re: the image for this entry... I'm afraid my experience with Zombie movies is very limited... I've only seen things like Dead Man's Party and Shaun of the Dead... :-) |
