JIRA is a very popular package from Atlassian for bug tracking, issue tracking, & project management. It has run fine on GlassFish for a while but it is not formally supported.

Given our Recent Download Numbers and other Adoption Indicators, I think that sooner and later Atlassian will add support but, you can Cast your Vote and speed up the process. Note you will need to get a JIRA account and log in. Thanks!

Of course, what I'd like is for JIRA to switch to using GlassFish as their embedded web server (they use Tomcat now), but I know that will take a bit longer. Maybe when v3 is out.

Kohsuke noticed that Lucene was now using Hudson for their nightly builds and that one of the Lucene developers wanted better integration with JIRA... so he wrote a new Plugin to do just that. The plugin can provide linkage from Hudson builds to JIRA entries and can also update the JIRA issues automatically.

The plugin architectural principle is one that Kohsuke has used succesfully in the JAXB and JAX-WS RIs; it is very flexible as it supports adding new functionality without impacting the stability of the existing features. Somebody is already asking for a Hudson plugin for FishEye.
