Interested in Writing about Java SE?

Are you becoming familiar with Java? Do you enjoy the challenge of describing technical information in writing?

We are looking for a recent college grad who wants to develop as a technical writer and who can work out of our Santa Clara campus.

For more information (and to submit your resume), see our job posting.

Hi Amit,

We are looking for someone to start prior to June who is willing (and able) to live in Santa Clara. Is that an obstacle? (Sounds like it might be.)

Wollter - send email to the tutorial feedback alias. (There is a link to that page on most every page of the tutorial.) Tell us more about it. In general, however, translations go through Addison Wesley.

We have hired our new writer. She is starting in late January. Thanks for your interest!

This is definitely one field that could do with more skilled writing- I mean, the technical field (not just JAVA.) In general, I find technical manuals very hard to read nomatter what product or project it is for. Being able to describe technical things in an easy way is definitely a refined skill, one that I would like to learn more about. Hope your new writer does the job well, and good luck to them!

Yes, indeed! We found a fabulous writer who used to be a programmer. Sometimes we hire writers who understand technical material and sometimes we hire technical people who understand writing. It's very hard to find people that can do both well!
