Java and Chrome

Google's week old Chrome
browser is already stirring
up interest, possibly to the detriment
of Internet Explorer, and showed an early
peak of 7% of some web traffic routes shortly after birth. The current Windows
only download (a platform limitation at least one
person finds embarassing but which we hope will be fixed soon)
does not include default support for ubiquitous rich client
technologies like Java or Flash (beware
!). But, as a foward looking technology, it only works with the very latest version of Java for the desktop - the much anticipated Java SE 6u10 release (get it here), which many people have described how to install.
And, of course, it works with the JavaFX Desktop SDK Preview, as Jim Weaver describes.
