The Planetarium

Given that the JavaFX SDK is in preview and the team is busily putting finishing touches on the upcoming 1.0 release, things have been quiet on the JavaFX front for a bit.

But not silent ! Nandini 'JavaFXGal' Ramani's guested on This Ain't Your Dad's Java podcast last week, delving into the origins of the project.

This morning, an article about the RIA lansdscape JavaFX is in, including a titillating quote about Flash "you really have to develop in a bizarre way”, which gave your humble Planetarium Janitor a chuckle.

And at the newly minted JavaZone conference just this September, there were a number of talks about JavaFX, including Jim Weaver's presentation, which was written in JavaFX !

All in all, the Janitor is looking forward to more than turkey by Thanksgiving :)
