The JavaFX books are coming !

First came the SDK and runtimes. Then the sample code, like color
choosers, games,
draggable media
players, widgets, twitter
clients and more.
Then the tutorials and tips: layout,
script
in 15 mins, web
services in 5, tips
on
mobile
development.
Then all
those downloads. Next the phones,
a new
release.Now the books are lining up for JavaOne releases !
For example, just released in early access is Pro JavaFX by Jim Weaver, co-tutor of the online JavaFX course and expert JavaFX developers Weiqi Gao, Stephen Chin, Dean Iverson. It joins stylish, ex-gamer Simon Morris' JavaFX in Action, also available in early access.
Also heading for a summer release are JavaFX: Developing Rich Internet Applications, part of the official Java Series, and the JavaFX Developer's Guide by the prolific Kim Topley, known both for his Swing and Java ME books.
The Planetarium needs to clear some shelf space.

good to hear that books are coming
but i just wonder about the content
current javafx release has lot of missing features
will there be anything about native gui components in them? (which we dont know what they are, no swing wrapper plz)
will 1.5 version be ready till java one?
I'm not asking anything about GUI designer tool since it's a taboo or something no one makes any comment on it. i hope Sun executives know that GUI designer is very important if they want everybody(especially flash devs) develop javafx applications.

Our book, JavaFX - Developing Rich Internet Applications, has very little focus on Swing. We talk about creating custom nodes, controls and skins, go into effects, animation, media, REST, etc. Check out jfxbook.com to see the source code for the book. The rough cut chapters should be up on Safari soon.
