2005年 5月 27日 金曜日 Japan: Netwok Computing 2005 Summer/Interop 2005
Interop Tokyo 2005 will be held in the week of June 6th. As you might have already notice, Sun Japan will hold Network Computing 2005 Summer in the event. This is a comprehensive conference of Sun Technologies and Solutions including Solaris 10, Liberty, RFID and so on.I will talk about Sun Ray @ Home in a conference session of Interop, "C09:Remote Access and the Protection of Personal Information" on June 8th. I plan to bring a Sun Ray which I've been using at my home to the conference venue, and use it in my presentation. This is not too technical, but some practical one with my experiences in these months.

Interop Tokyo 2005が6月6日の週にあります。ご存じかとは思いますが、サンはその場においてNetwork Computing 2005 Summerを開催します。これは、Solaris 10やLibertyやRFIDなどなど、サンの技術とソリューションに関しての包括的なイベントです。
私は、6月8日のInteropのカンファレンス・セッションの「リモートアクセスを禁止せよ!?」で、Sun Ray @ Homeに関して話します。自宅で現在使用しているSun Rayを持っていってプレゼンするつもりです。内容は技術的な話と言うよりは、私の使用経験に基づく実践的な話です。

2005年 5月 26日 木曜日 Japan: Linux Conference, LinuxWorld Expo/Tokyo
Japan Linux Association(JLA) will hold Linux Conference 2005 in next week at the same place of LinuxWorld Expo/Tokyo 2005. In these years, IDG Japan kindly supports Linux Conference as a parallel technical event of LinuxWord Expo. JLA will have a booth at the LinuxWorld exhibition, too. I will be there maybe in all three days.--- In Japanese
日本Linux協会(JLA)は、Linux Conference 2005を来週開催します。場所はLinuxWorld Expo/Tokyo 2005と同じところ(東京ビッグサイト)です。ここ数年、IDGジャパンには、Linux ConferenceをLinuxWorld Expo併設の技術カンファレンスとしてサポートいただいてます。JLAはLinuxWorld展示会場にブースも出す予定です。私は、三日間とも会場に詰める予定です。

2005年 5月 18日 水曜日 Japan: IGTF report meeting
Today, we had the 2nd IGTF report meeting. I was in charge of MC, and because we did not have enough time, I had to act as a time keeper, too. I hope we have more time to discuss about Internet governance with attendees. As this activity corresponds to the WGIG activity, the activities have tended to become passive ones to WGIG actions. But this time, WGIG posted questionnaire for comment, so it seems we may have to do some active responses. IGTF has an English discussion mailing list, called IGTF-TALK@IGTF.jp, so if you are interested in this kind of discussions, please follow the instructions here.---- in Japanese ----
今日、第2回のIGTF報告会を開催しました。私は司会を務めたのですが、時間があまり無かったので、タイム・キーパーとしての役目の方が大変でした。次回にはもう少し参加者と議論できる時間が取れれば、と思います。この活動は、これまではWGIGの活動に対する受動的な反応にならざるをえないところが多かったのですが、今回は、WGIGがインターネット・ガバナンスに関するアンケートを行っているので、私たちも能動的な活動ができるのかもしれません。IGFでは、日本語の議論用のメーリングリスト INGOV-Talk@IGTF.jp を用意していますので、関心のある方はwebの指示に従って参加いただければ幸いです。

Japan: Anti SPAM Conference materials
We held Unsolicite Mail Measure Conference on May 10th as I described before. More than 300 people came, and we had a hot day. The materials used at the conference were mostly available at the program page, and we'll soon have a comprehensive conference report, too.--- In Japanese ----
先にお知らせしましたように5月10日に迷惑メール対策カンファレンスを開催しました。300人以上の方々が来場し、ホットな一日でした。カンファレンスで使用した資料は、プログラムのページからダウンロードできるようになっています。また、カンファレンスの包括的なレポートもまとめる予定です。

Japan: NSUG Osaka Seminar in June
NSUG will hold Osaka Seminar in June. It is not officially announced yet, but the date is fixed to June 17th. Its detail will be announced in next week, I think. Please stay tuned at NSUG web site .--- in Japanese ---
