JavaOne this year is the 10th aniversary of Java. I knew its Oak era a little bit. I saw its demo at Sun Japan office, maybe in February of 1995. And at the Sun World event in May 1995, Java was announced, still it was in alpha stage. And I joined the first JavaOne in 1996. After that, I've never been to JavaOne, so this year, I decided to join this 10th aniversary event, and celebrate it with Japanese customers, and my manager supported me.Several recommended points of this year's JavaOne was described in Cat Typing in Japanese, and it is useful, I think. I decided to join NetBeans Day and Jxta Town Hall meeting on Sunday, 26th.

今年のJavaOneは、Java十周年です。 日本のオフィスでOakのデモを見たのは確か1995年の2月で、その年の5月のSun Worldイベントでα版だったけど発表になったかと思います。で、96年の最初の JavaOneには行ったのですが、その後はずっと参加していませんでした。 今年は十周年ということでぜひ参加して、日本から参加した方々とお祝いしたい と思いまして、上司の許可を得ました。
今年のJavaOneのオススメに関しては、 神谷結花 さんが日本語で書いているのが役に立つと思います。 26日の日曜日のNetBeans DayとJxta Town Hall meetingに出ようかと思っています。
