A tutorial - Reading a Sun calendar on your desktop using Thunderbird/Lightening
How to install lightening and configure it with your Sun calendar.
Use these URLs to get the software.
- From mozilla ...
Mozilla for Thunderbird itself, and for the add-on pages try this for all T-bird add-ons (you might also try the google provider plugin if you use Google calendars).
- Try to download the lightening software directly from the mozilla site (0.8 is the latest) but this is the right WCAP version of the Lightening add-on software for 0.7 version. here. You can also use the Sunbird standalone calendar to do the same outside of Thunderbird.
- To work out your calendar name go to namefinder or try the URL that you use to login to calendar (eg. https://username@cal-name.sun.com)
Soooo....where is the tutorial? All I see are links to the plug-ins (BTW the first one -- Mozilla, doesn't work).

Might want to point to the .8 release that came out a couple weeks ago instead of the older .7

The one problem with installing lightening is that firefox thinks it's a firefox add-on rather than a T-Bird app. I managed to successfully install and run a version of this from February, however have since been unable to install any of the later nightly builds. it's quite annoying. Not sure what I'm missing. I'm a mac user too.
any guidance?
