What is this about ?
Potential blog-casters:
Seeley and I have been working on a 'unofficial news' videocast channel at blogs.sun.com/thisissomething which we are launching today.
The idea came from the regular launch blogging briefings. We thought, why not use videocasts to do this? Then it became a 'channel...'
The first few entries are a bit rough as we work out the format - we don't have a lot of spare time. It is intended however to have serious content presented a short bi/weekly 'news' update, plus some short interviews about the industry and subjects of interest to Sun, in a style similar to diggnation.com or rickygervais.com ... in other words entertaining, informal, to the point, a video blog.
If you have any ideas on news stories or interviewees, or you would like to contribute, please let us know! And we would welcome any constructive comments from the Sun blogging community (or anyone else ...).

I'd suggest also making your video available in iPod format as I'm doing on http://blogs.sun.com/storage/ - some people love to be able to download video to watch later on the plane etc.
