Speaker's Bio

Stacy David Thurston develops specialized Java course content and is an leading instructor from Sun Microsystems. As an expert in this field, he teaches courses and runs technology seminars world wide. Before Sun, Stacy has been a web application developer, database application developer, Product Manager, and IT operations administrator.

He is the author of the Sun Press, Prentice Hall, book Getting Started with Sun ONE. While working in a startup, he present at the Department of Defense Venture Catalyst Initiative Workshop. Other luminaries that have presented there include Marc Andreessen (a Netscape founder), and David Filo (a Yahoo founder).
